1) Satsuma is an artsy local cafe in the Bywater named for the fragrant tangerine-like fruit that grows down here on the bayou. Come hither to power through your hangover the healthy way with New Orleans style chickory coffee and Satsuma beet limeade.

2)If you are funky fresh enough to still own a record player, than you need to pop into Euclids near the train tracks in Bywater. The guy who was working was drinking a PBR outside in the sun when we got there. Oh, New Orleans. Do people here drink like fish 24-7? Yes, yes they do. Now, time to procure your mid-morning Miller High Life!
Fine specimen in it's element.
3) The Joint is a juicy BBQ locale in the Bywater with a behemoth custom built smoker created by a neighbor. I swear to goofy that the vinegar-sauced pulled pork sandwich I ingested here was the best I have ever had.

4) Any woman who is anybody will find her dainty self inside of the Fleur de Paris hat shop in the French Quarter. WARNING: You better have a pretty penny in your bank account (or a sugar daddy) before you mosey into this place.
Somehow I got my dirty mitts on this incredible headpiece:
5) Guys Po-Boys is a traditional New Orleans take–out spot in the Irish Channel. Marvin was busy putting shrimp po’ boys together behind the line.
If you see Marvin, tell him I said hi!
Heaven.
These guys take a lot of pride in the way they make their food and treat their customers. Highly recommended!!
